Yes. The complete Windows application is free to download and use. There is no subscription, paid tier, release fee or licence key.
What do I need to rip a CD on Windows?
A Windows computer and an internal or USB optical drive that can read audio CDs. An internet connection is needed when looking up album information and cover artwork.
Can Blackbox Ripper rip CDs to FLAC?
Yes. Choose FLAC for lossless files. Blackbox Ripper can also save tracks as MP3, AAC, WAV or AIFF.
Can I rip a CD to MP3 on Windows?
Yes. Select MP3 as the output format before starting the rip. The resulting files are placed in the destination folder you choose.

Where are my files saved?
The default location is a Blackbox Rips folder inside Downloads. You can choose a different location before ripping.
