Bring your catalogue with you.
Existing releases can be migrated while retaining existing ISRCs, UPCs and EANs where appropriate.
There is no standard catalogue migration fee. Complete metadata and identifiers help us prepare a clean move, although store matching, playlists and stream continuity remain subject to each platform.

Blackbox Distribution is non-exclusive, with a standard rolling agreement and 30 days' notice for termination, subject to the Distribution Agreement. Duplicate delivery is not permitted.

Blackbox Distribution works with independent labels, established self-releasing artists, catalogue owners and rights holders. Every application is reviewed before acceptance.
ALREADY USING BLACKBOX RMS?
The services stay independent.
You do not need Blackbox RMS to use Distribution. Blackbox is developing ways for users of both services to bring selected distribution and royalty data into the wider RMS workflow.

Questions about Blackbox Distribution
Do I need a Blackbox RMS subscription?
No. Blackbox Distribution is a standalone service. Blackbox RMS remains separate release-management software.
Is the 80/20 split based on gross streams?
No. The split applies to net royalties Blackbox receives from DSPs and stores, as described in the Distribution Agreement. It is not a guaranteed amount per stream.
Can I move an existing catalogue?
Yes. Standard catalogue migration has no Blackbox fee. Existing identifiers and complete metadata help with migration. Platform matching, playlists and stream continuity are subject to the platforms and cannot be guaranteed.
Does an application guarantee acceptance?
No. Applications and releases are reviewed for operational readiness, rights risk and platform eligibility.
